Caregivers Training Is Inconsistent and Often Outdated

Training Is Inconsistent and Often Outdated

Most family caregivers receive little to no formal instruction. Paid caregivers may have access to basic certifications, but ongoing professional development is rare, especially in low-wage roles. As more complex health needs are managed at home—dementia care, post-operative recovery, even palliative support—this knowledge gap becomes a risk to everyone involved.

Better training benefits not only seniors. It boosts caregiver confidence, reduces stress, and lowers turnover in a profession already struggling with retention.
